TNH Modern Season 18, Race 6
-
Seattle Albert Lee Cup (Detroit). December 13, 6:30 PDT qualifying.
For the Final Heat 5 boats on the front line with 1 trailer. -
Tonight's race has been cancelled due to rfactor being down. It has been rescheduled for next Wednesday December 20th at 6:30pm
-
Really strange, seems a recent Windows update messed up the firewall settings on my server.
The race list is still down, but if you enter the IP address with the blue plus button, the server will show up now.
Alternatively, you can create an rFactor shortcut with the target set to:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor_Hydros\rFactor.exe" +connect 66.150.188.247:0 +password "sdrace"
That will launch rFactor and automatically connect to the UHL server.

@Scott-Przybylski that worked for me. Thank you!
To Scott or anyone else. Is there a way in rfactor that I can make another course or create more boats?
Thanks again -
@Aputich Regarding how to build courses, follow this link from when I had the itch to build the Seattle and Tri-Cities courses. http://uhlhydroplanes.com/topic/55/seattle-and-tri-cities-courses/4
-
@Aputich Which boats did you want to add? As of now, I don't plan on doing any more boats and the other painters have either left or are inactive, but I might be convinced to do some.

Honestly, I don't think creating anything else for the rFactor mod is worth it right now. I feel that the new game I'm working on will be ready enough to replace it sometime in 2018. I plan to have an update to the beta version ready prior to Christmas for you guys to play with. Then, next year, I will start looking into selling the new game via Steam.
-
@Scott-Przybylski I'm dumb and can't find a blue button. I try to double click on this as a url without success. If you can give me a url that I can use and save it would be appreciated.
-
@Allrc1 To find the blue button in rFactor, do the following:
From the main menu: click Connect, then Join. The blue "+" button is on the screen with the list of servers. It is next to a red "x" button and a green "refresh" button in the upper left.
When you click on this button it will bring up a screen where it wants you to enter an IP address. What this address is, I don't know.

@Allrc1 I got it

@cp65 Oh if you feel like painting the 2 wing Coors I think that’s a sick boat if we are racing on the sim next season don’t worry about it.
Was just interested in learning because there are so many cool boats and just for my own purpose.
However. It sounds like there is a vision with where the new game is headed that I can get behind.
Thanks all,
Ap -
At this point, I don't think it would be worth it to try to do the Coors Dry boat. Not all the logos are available at this time, so I would have to make them myself. Like Scott said, the HydroSim will be coming out soon so he could add a 2 wing model into it (hint hint). If that were to happen, I would have to re-do the boat.
-
@cp65 I like that idea! There have been some pretty cool two wing hulls before.

6 drivers attended the Albert Lee Cup with 1 surprise no show (Chris Porten). The night started off with Bud driven by Mickey Washburn as the fastest qualifier. The Bud won all 3 of its heats and entered the final heat with a perfect day. The DeWalt Tools driven by Jeff DeWalt had 2 wins and a 2nd. The 6 boat field was trimmed to 5 win the DegreeMen had to withdraw from the day. They had boat problems (computer) in the first to heats scoring 0 pts and called it a day. In the final the Bud hit the start first and took the lead with the DeWalt on his outside and the 7-11 driven by James Bandit on his inside. Finishing lap 3 the 7-11 steering wheel came loose and he got into the Bud's roostertail and flipped. So it was a 2 boat race with the DeWalt on the Bud's hip keeping the pressure on. Then exiting t2 starting the last lap it payed off when the Bud hooked. DeWalt had the lead with the Bud making one last run coming out of the roostertail turn, but it wasn't enough and DeWalt Tools won by half a boat length.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the U21 was unable to make it to the race course. Driver Chris Porten was able to arrive in time for the last heat race and the final, but was unable to compete. The boat should be ready to go for the next race.
