The final race of the season is in the books and Jeff DeWalt in the U-1 Graham Trucking wins the ORYX Cup UIM World Championship. Mickey Washburn in the T-Plus wins the National Championship and will carry the U-1 next year. The night started off with Chris Porten driving the Atlas Van Lines to top Qualifier. DeWalt won all three of his heat races. Kallen Washburn had 2 heat wins and Porten with 1. The Final Heat was one of the best ever. The 1st 3 laps was a 4 boat deck to deck race with KWashburn MWashburn DeWalt and Porten. Lap 4 KWashburn flipped exiting T1 and then it was a 3 boat race the rest of the way. Porten MWashburn and DeWalt all had the lead at different times but it was DeWalt who had it when it counted. It was a great end to the season. Next season will start in September or October, but we will have some fun runs through out the summer.
