I'm trying to get a friend set up to race on a Win 10 laptop and have two issues. We installed the Direct X 9 Runtime update and restarted but still have these issues.

      1. We can't get the throttle to work with either the keyboard or his wheel. Running in standalone, the boat just sits at the doc and drifts a few feet forward. You can see the wheel and petals communicating in the setup window and by mapping views to the wheel, we are able to change views. (This sounds like what Jeff had during the last season).
      2. We are not able to get onto a course on the UHL2 server. We can log into the server, but when we try to load a course, we get a windows crashed message and the game crashes.

Any advice or help is appreciated.

What kind of wheel are you guys using?

About the second issue, try running rFactor as administrator. If that doesn't work, the only other solution I can think of is to re-install rFactor.

A thrustmaster. However, the gas on the keyboard won't work either. In setup the wheel and pedals react normally but the boat won't move.

So it's an issue with rFactor, not Windows or the wheel as far as I can tell. Does the boat at least idle? Maybe your autopilot is on or the clutch may be constantly engaged.
