I'm putting the Mac build up, however it may not work properly, I've been having issues getting the water to show up at all in standalone builds. Mac build also doesn't support how boat wakes are rendered.
-
Right side of my screen keeps freezing, windowed mode 1280x600
-
@Harley-Gray That sounds interesting, I don't think I've ever seen part of screen freeze.
-
Norton doesn't like the unity engine it keeps deleting it
-
@Mickey Was it happening with previous versions?
-
@Scott-Przybylski no this was the first one I told it to reinstall it and now it’s working. Also when I first tries to open Hydrosim windows said it wasn’t trusted and I had to tell it to run it anyways
-
@Mickey OK, well, I just put up an update, let me know if it works on your Mac also, the water should show up now.
Also, Windows probably says it isn't trusted because the executable isn't signed.
-
@Scott-Przybylski ok Norton liked this update Kallen is the one with the MAC but if I get I chance I can download it at my parents they have a MAC and I will see what it does
-
@Mickey Oh sorry, I'll bug Kallen then, haha

Scott,
tried the Detroit Course last night. The one thing that is hard to figure is the Roostertail turn. I was wondering if you could just put a piece of land or rock where the grandstands should be which would help with that turn. The turn down by the Belle Isle Bridge is a little deceiving without the bridge too. Maybe some land there will help as a good reference also. Just wanted to ask. Being that it might not be that hard to add instead of an actual bridge or Grandstands. Thanks Scott. great job as on the course's. -
Hey, I just downloaded Hydro mod and Hydro Sim and am having problems trying to download Rfactor. I don't know if I need it or what. I really wanna play this game, but the thing is how do I install it correctly?
-
@nlj04 You don't need rfactor to run HydroSim.
-
@craigmont said in HydroSim Alpha v0.5.2.1:
@nlj04 You don't need rfactor to run HydroSim.
Correct, HydroSim is a standalone game, you don't need anything else to run it.
HydroMod is the old "game" that was a mod for rFactor. I wouldn't worry about that if you're new.
-
@jeffdewalt Yeah, I agree its a bit difficult to find your bearings without landmarks. I'll eventually get to it. For the Roostertail turn, just look for the yachts for now
-
. It's going to be interesting that's for sure
-
So if you don't need rFactor now that I know, how do you start it from beginning.
Just asking if someone could help me! -
@nlj04 HydroMod is just a modification for the game rFactor. The mod has been discontinued, and all development has shifted to the new, standalone HydroSim game. All you need to do is download HydroSim from the page on this website, and then when it is done, extract those files to a different location.
-
Thank you guys for the help!
I will return the favor whenever needed! -
And last question. Does it run on windows 10? Because that's what I have.
-
@nlj04 Yes
