Celebrity Pro-Am 2010 Logistics

Postby craigmont on Mon Mar 01, 2010 10:33 pm

This will be the thread to talk about logistics for the Hydro Museum event set for May 22.

Racing machines , the more the better!

1. me
2. Chris Denslow
3. Brian
4. Joey
5. Dano
6. John Steach
7. Mitch Cooper
8. Chris Abrams

Chris will probably bring the league server and I will try to have a machine to feed the projector.

Everyone needs to talk Scott P into coming up again. Tickets are fairly cheap right now.

I have some ideas on how to improve the format. Having all the different profiles with drivers names was a big PITA. I'm thinking we should just use 1 profile per machine. (We can just call them Machine 1, 2, 3 etc.) We will know who's driving by the boat they use. This will make it a lot easier to start new heats.

It would be cool to make some T-Shirts with the current Hydromod logo.

We need some newer boats painted-

U-7 Graham Trucking
U-100 Leland 2009 version
U-37 Peters and May
U-25 Dr. Ken's purple boat

I was thinking about trying to paint the U-22... I am looking at the other boats to find out what i am capable of doing... Thinking i should keep my 'master of shitty boats' record and do either the U-25 or U-100...

Not so worried about the 22, because there's no way that driver is coming to the Museum..

It's unlikely that he'd make the trip from Reading, Pennsylvania.

I've got the weekend blocked out as of now but who knows what work will bring by then. Best case is that I will bring Peter over from the Tri-Cities and Jim Jaquish from the Seattle area and will also try to talk Cooper into showing up as well. We all should be able to bring machines which would be up to four more.

John, that would be awesome!

What kind of machines, monitors, and controllers do you all have?

For those who can make it, we'll probably do a setup and testing party on the Friday night.

I've got an old HP running Windows XP and a 21" wide screen. Peter has a home built custom set up also running XP with dual monitors (21" and 19"). Jim also has an old HP with XP and a 19" monitor. I'm not sure what Cooper runs. It's looking pretty good for us going (at lease Jim and I). :D

I'll try my best to be there. I am running on a HP laptop, 17" screen...with a MS Thrustmaster 2 wheel. Sorry...my hard parts are a little dated! lol

I'll probably heading up there again. I can bring my laptop and my new mini computer server. My wheel is too heavy/bulky to bring up, same with the desktop comp.

How to I register to attend this and what time to I need to be there? I'm coming from Tri-Cities and Peter has to work Friday nights so we need to start making plans. It looks like Jim Jaquish has Dad duty but I have another friend who is just getting set up that may be able to make it.
